A beautiful pair of burr walnut bedside chests dating from the late 19th century. They each have four drawers with turned knobs and they stand on a plinth base. They are excellent quality with dove-tailed drawers and the most beautiful burr walnut tops.
They are in very good condition for their age and have developed a lovely rich patina. The drawers are generally clean and tidy and open smoothly. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few small knocks and surface marks and some wear along the front edges but nothing detrimental and overall they display well. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
