Product Details

A good example of a matching pair of painted metal ship's lamps dating from the early to mid 20th Century. They are Port and Starboard lamps, painted green and red accordingly. The green one is fitted with blue glass and it was likely that the red one had a red filter at some point. Both have maker's plaques for "Sachin Engg Corpn. Bombay". They have brass carrying handles and a brass bracket for hanging.

Inside they have their original oil burners and reflectors, although they are missing the glass chimneys.

They are in good original condition and have a nice aged patina. They are not without some knocks and marks and some chips to the paint in places but nothing detrimental and overall they display well. The oil burners have not been tested but the wick turners move well and I see no reason why they shouldn't work as intended.
