A matching pair of original '1227' Anglepoise lamps designed by Herbert Terry in the 1950s. These iconic lights have an adjustable articulated arm with sprung joints allowing for them to be manipulated into a variety of positions. The angle of the shade is adjustable and the lamps swivel on the weighted two-step bases. They have their original shades and have been stripped back to the metal and beautifully polished.
The lamps have been PAT tested and re-wired to modern standards with black braided cord and they take a standard bayonet bulb.
The lamps are in very good condition and display beautifully. There are some minor signs of age and use and some small marks and knocks here and there but nothing detrimental.
