Product Details
A matching pair of 18th Century silver salt boats of oval pedestal form with elegant scrolling handles and reeded borders. They both have a brightly gilded interior and a faintly engraved family crest.
They are both clearly hallmarked for London, 1793 and the maker Henry Chawner. They are good quality and weigh approximately 132g.
They are in very good condition for their age. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and small dinks but nothing detrimental and the gilding is bright. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
