An excellent pair of leather club armchairs dating from the early 20th Century. They are very comfortable with deep sprung seats and feather filled leather cushions. They have an attractive curved back and stand on small bun feet with castors below. They are covered in a light brown leather finished with close-nailed detail.
They are nicely proportioned - not too big and bulky but large enough to sink into. They measure approximately 33" (84cm) high. The arms are 31" (79cm) wide across and they are approximately 31" (79cm) deep.
They are in very good condition for their age and are both sturdy with solid frames. They have developed a lovely worn and aged patina without any major damages and have been treated with a leather enriching cream to preserve that patina. There are signs of age and wear and various marks and scuffs and some old staining but nothing untoward or detrimental.
