An attractive pair of French gilt bronze candlesticks dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. They have a neoclassical design with elegant reeded columns and ornate tripod splayed feet in the form of paws. They are very good quality and come with their original removable sconces.
They are in good condition for their age and there are no major damages or losses. There are some faint surface marks and small knocks, some tarnishing and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
