A pair of industrial copper ship's lights dating from the early 20th Century. They have a metal bracket with a wooden handle where they could have been used as handheld searchlights. They have been adapted to be hanging pendant lights using a lovely rope fitting.
They are in very good condition and display well. They have a beautiful weathered patina with some remains of a painted finish which has been stripped off to reveal the copper below. There are some surface marks and knocks and signs of wear but no major damages.
They have been rewired with a braided flex and are in working order. They are currently wired together as a pair but the wiring could be separated if they were to be hung individually. They are ready to install but we would always recommend that the light is checked and installed by a professional electrician.
