Original Portable Wind Up Gramophone
A fabulous vintage portable Gramophone dating from the early to mid 20th Century. It is an attractive blue colour that displays beautifully. I've played a few records on it and it seems to be in good working order, producing a very pleasing sound which would only improve with fresh needles. It has the name "Corinthian" below the lid which was most likely the retailer.
The arm and turntable move freely and the plating is bright and clean. It has the original winding handle and an automated stop/start as well as speed changer. The turntable has a blue velvet covering. The case has a pivoted needle bowl in the corner and storage for a few records in the top.
It is in good condition for its age. The covering on the turntable is a little worn and stained, there is some tarnishing on some of the metal parts and there are of course some signs of wear and surface marks around the case but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well.
