A fine example of a beautiful hand painted Moorcroft lamp in the popular Columbine design. The pattern is set on a cream background and shows beautiful tubelined purple flowers among green leaves.
The base is impressed "MOORCROFT. MADE IN ENGLAND." and carries a green initial artist signature 'SJE', dating it to the late 20th Century.
The lamp is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or restoration and the colours are bright and vibrant. There is some crazing running through the glaze which does commonly happen but it still displays beautifully.
It has been rewired to modern standards to take a standard bayonet bulb and is in working order with a valid PAT test.
