Good example of an antique riveted copper boiler dating from the mid to late 19th Century. Most likely originally used as an industrial boiler or measure, it is the perfect size for a log bin or planter. Excellent quality with a rolled rim, riveted seam and riveted detail around the bottom. It also has two large lions head handles and three lions paw feet.
It is in good original condition and displays well. There has been an old patch repair which gives it great character and there are various dinks and dents but nothing detrimental or untoward and it has a wonderful verdigris patina. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
