A good example of a large antique solid silver oval bowl. It is stylish and good quality with a wavy beaded rim, elegant curving handles and four splayed feet. The body is decorated with delicate engraved floral swags with a vacant oval cartouche on both sides.
It is clearly hallmarked for Atkin Bros, Sheffield, 1909 and also marked on the underside for the renowned retailers "Finnigans Manchester".
It weighs approximately 837g.
It is in excellent condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks, minor signs of age and use and some minor dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
