A good example of a particularly large brass watering can, dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It is heavy and good quality and is both decorative and usable. It is stamped on the base with Joseph Sankey's makers mark "J.S & S. Made in England. Solid Brass".
It is in good original condition. There are no major damages, splits or holes and it is water tight. There are signs of age and use, some small dents, dinks and surface marks and the handle has been knocked at some point but nothing untoward and it displays well. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
