A good example of a large antique brass cauldron dating from the early 19th Century. It is a good quality piece made from a heavy gauge brass with an iron collar around the top and a hand forged swing handle. A good size for a coal/kindling bucket or planter.
It is in good original condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and it has picked up many small dinks and dents over the years but there are no splits or holes. It has only been lightly cleaned to retain its wonderful patina and it displays beautifully.
