A fine example of a Georgian Sterling Silver sugar sifter spoon. It has a distinctive shaped bowl with pretty pierced pattern. It has a simple handle with an engraved crest on the end. The spoon is good quality and made from a heavy gauge silver, weighing approximately 44g. It measures approximately 5 1/2" (14cm) long and the bowl is 2" (5cm) wide.
It is fully hallmarked for Samuel Hayne & Dudley Cater, London, 1837.
It is in excellent condition with a very clear hallmark. There are no damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
