A fine example of a Georgian toddy ladle with a long ebonised twisted handle and a solid Sterling Silver ladle with pouring spout. The ladle is good quality and measures approximately 14" (36cm) long.
It is not hallmarked but that wasn't unusual for pieces such as this and it has been tested as silver.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are a couple of small splits in the rim of the bowl (see photos) and some other minor dinks and faint surface marks but nothing untoward or detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
