Georgian Silver Salver
A fine example of an 18th Century solid silver salver of circular form with a raised lip. The surface is embellished with an outer engraved border and it stands on three simple feet.
It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1789 and the maker John Crouch & Thomas Hannam. It weighs approximately 545g.
It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint marks and some light surface scratches but nothing detrimental. There are some minor dinks and dents which have given a slight wave to the rim but this is more noticeable in the photos than in the flesh and it still displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
