Product Details

A good example of a solid Sterling Silver shaker pot, most likely a pounce pot. It is a good quality piece in the shape of an urn on a round foot with ornate repousse decoration. The cartouche is engraved with a clenched fist holding a bunch of wheat sheafs. It has a pierced shaker top and a gilded interior. It weighs approximately 77g.

It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1817 and the maker I.B.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some minor dinks and light surface marks around the body and the finial is leaning to a slight angle but overall it displays well and the interior gilding is still bright. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
