Product Details

A fine example of a large Georgian Sterling Silver serving spoon. It is superb quality and decorated in the traditional 'King's Pattern' with a shell on the handle. It is not engraved, except for a small V on the rear of the spoon above the bowl.

It measures approximately 12" (30cm) long and the bowl is 2 1/4" (6cm) wide by 3 1/2" (9cm) long. It is made from exceptionally heavy gauge silver and weighs approximately 208g.

It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1826 and the maker Charles Ely.
It is in excellent condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks and one small dink on the bowl (see photo) but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
