A fine example of an antique Sterling Silver decanter label for "WHISKEY". The label is an attractive shape with gadrooned border and hangs on a silver chain.
It is good quality and well made and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1827 and the maker Joseph Willmore. It weighs approximately 10g.
It is in excellent condition with a clear hallmark. There are no damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
