A lovely oak tilt-top table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It is a good size with a round planked top set on a gun barrel turned support with tripod splayed legs.
It is in very good condition for its age with a lovely patina and the oak has developed a nice warm colour. There are signs of age and use, a few minor marks and knocks on the top surface but nothing detrimental. It has a good level top and the tilting mechanism is smooth with a firm catch. There have been some old repairs to the legs but nothing untoward and the table is strong and sturdy. The table has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
