An attractive oak Longcase Clock by James Yardley of Bishops Stortford, dating from the early 19th Century. It has a good quality 8-day striking movement with an arched brass dial with second hand and date, engraved with the maker's name and a Strike/Silent dial at the top.
It has an oak case with fluted columns flanking the dial and turned posts with brass ball finials. It has a shaped door and stands on a square base with small bracket feet. Both doors come with their original working keys.
