Georgian Mahogany Inlaid Bow Front Corner Cupboard
A good quality Georgian mahogany corner cupboard dating from the late 18th Century. It has an attractive bow front with two doors and inlaid bone urn shaped escutcheons. It has a dentil cornice with an elegant inlaid marquetry border below with shell motifs and a central panel featuring Britannia and her lion.
The doors open to reveal a shelved interior with two small drawers. The interior has been painted white at some point. There is a small brass latch for one door and it comes with a working key for the lock.
It is in good condition with a lovely rich patina. There are of course some signs of age and use, some light marks and knocks but nothing detrimental or untoward. It is generally clean and tidy inside. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and is ready for use.
