A good Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has two short over 3 long drawers, each with its original brass swan neck handles and it stands on bracket feet. It is a good quality piece with a lovely rich colour to the timbers and it comes with a working key for a couple of the drawers.
It is in good condition and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use, some minor surface marks on the top, a few knocks here and there and a couple of old repairs but nothing untoward or detrimental. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy having been lined with blue penny paper at some point. The chest of drawers has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
