A good Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has two short over 3 long drawers, each with brass swan neck handles and it stands on bracket feet. It is a good quality piece with a lovely rich colour to the timbers.
It is in good condition. There are signs of age and use, some minor surface marks on the top, a small repaired shrinkage split to one side and a few knocks here and there but nothing untoward or detrimental. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy having been lined with green baize at some point. The chest of drawers has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
