Georgian Mahogany Chest of Drawers

A good Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. The drawers have brass handles and the chest stands on bracket feet. It is a good quality piece and the colour and patina of the mahogany is lovely.

It is in good original condition. There are signs of age and use, some minor marks and stains on the top and a few knocks and chips around the feet but nothing untoward or detrimental. The drawers are generally clean and tidy and all open well with most retaining their original blue penny paper linings. The drawer handles have been changed at some point in its life and there are faint marks where others have previously been but it isn't detrimental and the handles suit the period of the chest. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
