A lovely mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. It is a small size with an attractive bow front and stands on shaped bracket feet. The drawers have brass swan neck handles with pierced back plates which, although aren't original, suit the piece well.
It is in good condition for its age. The oak lined drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are some signs of age and use, some minor old marks and knocks and small shrinkage splits but nothing untoward. There are some minor old splits in the back boards but overall it is strong and sturdy. The top and drawer fronts have been nicely polished and the whole piece displays well and is ready for use.
