Product Details

A superb Georgian tilt-top table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century made from Fruitwood. It has a circular planked top standing on a turned baluster support with tripod splayed legs and pad feet. It has a lovely rich colour and is strong and sturdy with a good level top. The tilting mechanism is smooth with its original blacksmith-made catch.

It is in good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few small surface marks, minor splits and light knocks but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy. There has been a small patched repair on the top surface (see photo) which just adds to its character and patina. The table has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
