Edwardian Silver Pocket Watch Holder
A good example of an antique Sterling Silver pocket watch holder. It is a stylish and good quality piece with a round window and an ornate repousse decorated frame with cherub motifs. It has a leather back with a hinged arm and a velvet lined interior. It would suit a large Goliath sized pocket watch. The interior diameter is 65mm and the front window diameter is approximately 60mm.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1905 and the maker Henry Matthews.
It is in good condition for its age. There is some minor wear to the silver and a few small holes and dinks in places but nothing detrimental and it displays well. The interior is generally clean and tidy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
