Product Details

A good example of an antique cut glass decanter with a sterling silver collar and four shaped pouring spouts. It is beautifully decorated with etched decoration and it has a cut glass stopper.

The collar is clearly hallmarked for Chester, 1904 and the maker James Deakin & Sons. It is also engraved "Tullyallan Golf Club Captain's Prize. Won By D.Crichton. 1905".

It is in very good condition for its age. The silver is in good condition and there are no cracks or damages to the glass. There is a small area on the bottom rim which is slightly raised which could have been a small chip that has been polished out or just a minor flaw when the decanter was made but it isn't detrimental and the decanter still displays well. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
