Product Details

A beautiful 3-bottle tantalus dating from the early 20th Century. The bottles are contained within a domed mahogany box with inlaid decoration and an inlaid border. The box also has two brass carrying handles.

All three bottles are original with their original stoppers and star cut bases. Each bottle also has its original label - Gin, Whisky and Brandy. The lid of the box is lined in blue velvet and the bottle sections are lined in a black leather-type material. It does not come with a key.

It is in good condition throughout and the mahogany has a lovely rich colour and patina. There are some general signs of age and use, a few small knocks and marks but nothing detrimental. The base of the box looks like it might have been replaced at some point but it has been done well and still displays beautifully. There are a few small chips around the stoppers and a few nibbles around the rims but no major damages to the bottles. The tantalus has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
