Edwardian Deep Seated Armchair

A good quality country house armchair dating from the early 20th Century. It has a generous deep seat with rounded arms and a gently sloping back. It stands on tapering square legs with small brass castors below.

The chair is well made and very comfortable. It has just been re-sprung and recovered and had a new cushion made, although the chair could be used with or without the cushion depending on how much height and support you wanted.

The chair is in very good condition and is strong and sturdy.There are a few general marks and small knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. The castors are not original but suit the piece well.

The chair stands approximately 31" (79cm) high, 36" (92cm) deep and 31" (79cm) wide. The seat is 26" (66cm) deep and 17" (43cm) high with the cushion.
