A fine example of an early Victorian Sterling Silver jam spoon with a distinctive square dished shape spoon. It has a simple handle with no engraving. The spoon is good quality and made from a heavy gauge silver weighing approximately 32g. It measures approximately 5 1/2" (14cm) long and the end is 1 3/4 (4.5cm) long x 1 1/4 (3cm) wide.
It is fully hallmarked for Chawner & Co (George William Adams), London, 1848.
It is in good condition with a clear hallmark. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks and minor dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
