Product Details
A superb example of a 'Comb Back' Windsor chair dating from the early to mid 19th Century. It has a solid Elm seat with a primitive stick back design supporting gently curving arms below a comb shaped top rail. The chair stands on four turned legs joined by a H-stretcher.
It is approximately 35 1/2" (90cm) high and the arms are 22 1/2" (57cm) wide. The seat is 17 1/4" (44cm) deep and stands 16 1/2" (42cm) high.
It is a good comfortable chair and very well made. It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. It is not without some signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it has developed a lovely patina.
