A beautiful Bronze study of a Greyhound, after Christophe Fratin (1801-1864), dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. Signed 'Fratin' to the base. The greyhound is stood in an alert pose with its front leg raised and head turned.
The quality of the casting and the detail put into the muscles of the dog is exceptional. A good weight and beautiful colour and patination. It is in very good condition with no major damages.
