A good quality brass coal scuttle dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has an angular design in the arts and crafts style with ornate hinges, a turned brass knob and ebonised carrying handle. It comes with a liner and a small brass shovel mounted in a brass holder on the back.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and small dents but nothing untoward or detrimental. There is some corrosion towards the back of the liner and a couple of small holes. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
