A beautiful Art Nouveau bronzed table lamp dating from the early 20th century. The base is modelled as an elegant lady holding a flaming torch, draped in a hooded gown. Her outstretched hand holds the cable which runs behind her and up to the light. There is a registration number stamped below the bulb holder "Rd 712601". The bulb holder supports a gallery which holds a beautiful glass shade in the form of a flame.
It is in working order and has been rewired to modern standards to take a bayonet bulb (bulb not included). It is also PAT tested for electrical safety. We would advise using a low wattage LED bulb to prevent the glass shade getting too hot.
It is in very good condition for its age with a beautiful patina. There is a small chip on the tip of the glass shade but otherwise no major damages. There are some minor surface marks on the lamp base but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready for use.
