A good example of a solid Silver cigarette case with gilt interior. It is a typical art deco design with engine turned detail and geometric greek key decoration. It has a vacant cartouche on the front, suitable for engraving. It is a good quality piece, weighing approximately 117g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1932 and the maker Frederick Field.
It is in good condition for its age. There are a few small dinks and surface marks but no major damages and overall it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
