Antique Wing Armchair
A good Georgian style wingback armchair dating from the early 20th Century. It has traditional raised shaped wing sides and it stands on carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. It is a very comfortable chair with good large proportions and a feather filled cushion.
The chair is upholstered in a good quality and stylish chevron patterned fabric in rich reds and purples that compliments the chair well.
The chair is in good condition and is strong and sturdy. There are a few general marks and small knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. The upholstery is not new and there are light signs of wear and use and some slight fading but nothing untoward. It looks clean and fresh and is perfectly usable as it is or will serve as a good solid frame for recovering.
The chair stands approximately 48" (122cm) high, 34" (86cm) deep and arm to arm the chair is 31" (79cm) wide.
