Product Details

A good example of an antique stick back farmhouse chair dating from the late 19th century. It has a shaped elm seat with curved arms supported by turned spindles. It is high backed with narrow turned spindles standing on turned legs joined by a central stretcher.

The chair stands approximately 45 1/2" (116cm) high and 24" (61cm) wide. The seat is approximately 18" (46cm) deep and 17 3/4" (45cm) high.

It is in good original condition and has a lovely patina. There are some signs of age and use and some marks and light knocks around the legs but nothing detrimental. There are a couple of old repairs and some minor signs of old worm which has all been treated as a precaution and the chair is strong and sturdy. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
