A lovely Edwardian tabletop stationery cabinet made from walnut. It has a sloped front with a brass escutcheon and it comes with a working key. The front opens to reveal a fitted interior with various letter racks, a pen tray and one small ink bottle. The interior of the sloped front is fitted with a nice inset green baize which doubles as a writing surface when the box is open.
It is in good condition for its age and the wood has a lovely warm patina. There are some minor signs of age and use, a few small knocks and marks nothing detrimental and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
