Product Details

A good example of an original Sphygmographe de Marey dating from the mid 1800s. This type of instrument was the first machine that could produce a paper record of blood pressure. It has a brass lacquered body engraved "Margaine Constructeur." "Bte.S.G.D.G" and the serial number "156".

It comes in its original fitted box with velvet lined interior and a pull down section below the lid for the paper charts. The top of the box is embossed "Sphygmographe de Marey".

The instrument is in excellent original condition and the lacquered brass body is in good order with a few minor marks but nothing detrimental. I have not tested the item and it is sold as seen.
