A good example of a teak and brass naval bucket with a leather bound rope handle. It dates from the mid 20th Century and has been made from the wood of battleships. There is a label on the inside "Battleships of Britannia Advance, Britannia, Long Live the Cause of Freedom, Winston Churchill broadcast VE Day".
It is in good condition for its age and it has a lovely patina. There are signs of age and use but no major damages. There are some small marks and knocks and the leather over the handle has been replaced at some point but it still displays well.
