A good example of an antique Sterling Silver vesta case. It is a particularly large size and is decorated all over with engraved leaves. It has a cartouche on one side engraved with initials 'A.D'. It has a hinged lid and a ribbed base for striking. It is good quality and well made, weighing approximately 39g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1904.
It is in good condition with a clear hallmark. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are signs of age and use and some faint surface marks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
