A good example of an antique Sterling Silver vesta case. It is decorated all over with pretty engine turned decoration around a circular cartouche on one side. It has a hinged lid, a ribbed base for striking and a nicely curved shape which fits nicely in the hand.
It is clearly hallmarked for Chester, 1902 and the maker H.J.Cooper. It is good quality and well made, weighing approximately 21g.
It is in good condition with a clear hallmark and strong hinge. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are signs of age and use and some faint surface marks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
