An interesting sterling silver trophy cup with a painted roundel of a chicken. The cup itself has with twin handles and a round footed base with a border of leaves and berries below the rim. It is engraved for the "Black Wyandotte Club 'Killey Cup'. Presented by J.W.Killey Esq. 1931". It comes with a later base which fits the cup well or the cup can stand without it.
It is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1930 and the maker Turner & Simpson. The cup is a good quality piece, weighing approximately 202g.
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some light surface marks and a few small dinks but nothing detrimental and there is no damage to the roundel.
