Antique Silver Trinket Box
A lovely example of an antique solid sterling silver box profusely decorated with repousse work scrolls, leaves and birds around a central cartouche. It is a good quality piece with a hinged lid and a gilt lined interior.
It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1901 and the maker Charles Edwards. It weighs approximately 133g. The base is stamped for the retailer "Searle & Co. 78 & 79 Lombard Street. London"
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It has picked up some small knocks and marks and there are a couple of small dinks here and there but no major damages and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
