A good example of an antique silver tea caddy with its original lid. It is a small rounded shape with crimped edges and is beautifully decorated with a swirling repousse design around a vacant cartouche. It is a good quality piece, weighing approximately 74g.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1904 and the maker T.H.Hazelwood & Co.
It is in good condition for its age and is certainly a usable piece. There are a few light surface marks and some small dings and minor dents to the edges but no major damages and it displays well.
