A good example of an antique solid silver tazza or comport. It is stylish and good quality with a pierced border and beaded edge and a band of engraved leaf decoration in the centre. It stands on a small round weighted foot, giving the large outspread top stability.
It is clearly hallmarked for William Hutton, Birmingham, 1912 and weighs approximately 254g (although the base is slightly weighted).
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are some faint surface marks, minor signs of age and use and some minor dinks and knocks but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
