Product Details
A nice example of an antique sterling silver sugar basket with its original blue glass liner. The basket has a beautiful pierced design with intricate floral leaves and flowers forming the structure. It has a swing handle with a twisted deign and leaves on the top.
It is a stylish and good quality piece by well known maker William Comyns and it is clearly hallmarked for London 1906. Without the liner the silver weighs approximately 96g.
It is in good condition with clear hallmarks. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There is a small nibble on the rim of the liner (see photo) but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
