A nice example of a silver plated column table lamp, dating from the late 19th century. It has the traditional reeded column design set on a stepped base. Possibly once an oil lamp base, it has now been converted to an electric table lamp and re-wired with a standard bayonet bulb holder. It is in good working order and has been PAT Tested for electrical safety.
The lamp is in good condition. There are some minor marks and general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. Some of the plating has worn in places but i
t has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays well.
